New Christmas Gem...

A New Gem

Mary was very bold to ask an angel, a holy being, about something as private and unspeakable as being a virgin. But she had to know... And so she asked. And she asked the most logical one - the one who gave her the original information. She did not wait. She asked immediately. She did not go to someone more comfortable - a mother or best friend or even the family priest.

Thankful for Volunteers

Finishing a week of Thanksgiving finds me very grateful today for the many volunteers who help us reach out to the international students here in Reno.  We couldn't accomplish even a small portion of what we do without them...

Veteran's Day Trip to the Oregon Coast

We had a great trip to Brookings, Oregon with four students from China, Taiwan and Japan. (Click on great trip for all the photos.)

And then spent 3 days at the ocean in a great condo with it's own private beach... (Great place to stay if anyone wants to follow in our footsteps!

We had a bit of snow on the way back, but it didn't slow is down much...
